Dermal Filler — FAQ's

Dermal Filler — Frequently Asked Questions

Will I look “overfilled” or fake?

No — my signature style is subtle and natural. You will still look like you — just fresher and softly rejuvenated.

What areas can dermal filler treat?

Dermal filler can be used to:

  • Soften lines and folds
  • Gently restore lost volume
  • Enhance lips
  • Contour cheeks and jawline
  • Support facial structure
  • Refresh tired-looking skin

Your treatment is always tailored to your face, proportions, and goals.

Are dermal fillers safe?

When carried out correctly by an experienced practitioner, dermal fillers are considered very safe. I have over 34 years’ experience, extensive complication training, and am fully insured. Your safety and comfort are always my priority.

Are you medically qualified?

I am not medically qualified, however I have completed the same specialist aesthetics training pathways as medical practitioners and continue to update my training regularly. I also have decades of hands-on experience and a strong focus on safety and natural results.

Will people know I’ve had filler?

Most clients simply look fresher, smoother, and more rested — without it being obvious.

Does it hurt?

Most people find treatment very comfortable. Numbing options are always available and everything is carried out gently.

How long do fillers last?

Results typically last between 6–18 months, depending on the area treated, your metabolism, and product choice.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes — consultations are relaxed, honest, and pressure-free. We’ll discuss your goals and whether filler is the right option for you.

Safety & Pre-Appointment Guidance

Who Dermal Fillers Are Not Suitable For

For safety reasons, dermal fillers are not suitable for:

  • anyone under the age of 18
  • those who are pregnant

If you have any medical conditions, are taking medications, or are unsure if filler is suitable for you, please contact me before booking. Your safety always comes first.

Pre-Appointment Advice

To help your treatment go smoothly:

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
  • Avoid aspirin or high-dose anti-inflammatories unless prescribed by your doctor
  • Stay well-hydrated and have eaten before your appointment
  • Let me know about any medications or health conditions — it helps me tailor your treatment safely

Aftercare Guidance

After your treatment, following these steps helps achieve the best results:

  • Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours
  • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, or hot baths for the first 24–48 hours
  • Minor bruising, redness, or swelling is normal and usually settles within a few days
  • Follow the personalised advice provided for your treatment area
